Refugee Integration

Local authorities provide frontline services to all New Scots to assist with their integration into their new communities. This involves cross-cutting partnership approaches, where local resettlement teams work together with other mainstream council services, ranging from the likes of health and education, to transport and employability.

COSLA have worked with local authorities to collate a range of case studies, showcasing the work of councils in how they work with New Scots in their communities. The case studies are mapped against the New Scots Strategy’s fundamental outcomes and actions, demonstrating the breadth of positive work right across Scotland. You can find these case studies here.
