Home > Webinar Introduction

The Migrants’ Rights and Entitlements webinar series was designed as a legacy resource for councils and complements the National Guidance on Migrants’ Rights and Entitlements. We are currently experiencing technical issues with the online Migrants Rights and Entitlements tool. If you require a PDF copy of the guidance please email Katey Tabner katey@cosla.gov.uk

The videos were developed by COSLA together with JustRight Scotland and Media Education. This work was funded by Scottish Government and contributes to commitments under the national ‘Ending Destitution Together’ strategy to improve guidance and training for local authorities supporting people with no recourse to public funds (NRPF).

This webinar series aims to improve the skills and confidence of local authority staff and to raise the awareness and understanding of migrants’ rights and entitlements to access support. The videos provide an outline of key rights and entitlements of migrants with NRPF, guidelines in supporting key groups at risk of destitution and support models. The webinar also includes examples of case studies, key considerations in providing support and suggested good practice examples.
